Hello Future Roommate!

I am looking to rent my old spare room as I finally decided to move in with my beau. Let me tell you about this apartment.

There are a lot of amenities! First, we’re the first tenants to live in this remodeled apartment, so everything is new.

This apartment has central air and heating - which means its snuggly warm in the Winter and refreshingly cool in the Summer - without any wonky window units. The central air is quiet and evenly distributes heat and a/c.

We also have a washer and dryer - so say no more to laundry trips! We also have a dishwasher, and all new appliances in the kitchen. Utilities are always about $20 - $45 for Internet/Gas/Electric per Month.

The apartment also has a decently sized backyard that can be accessed via the basement or Master Bedroom.

The apartment consists of 4 bedrooms that occupy each corner of the apartment if you will. There is a common dining area, common kitchen, and a bathroom in this space. We also have a huge basement, which we all use communally for recreational activities. Currently, there is a TV/Gaming area set up with couch and coffee table, a writer’s nook, and artist studio, storage, another bathroom (with shower), washer and dryer, bikes/skateboards, and a Skeeball machine!

Speaking of Skeeball… we all play professionally as part of Brooklyn’s Brewskeeball League out of Full Circle Bar in Williamsburg. More about who you’ll be living with;

We have Matt who is in his late 20’s and works in film production. He’s a smart and kind guy. He can be gone for stretches at a time (as he works on film productions on location or locally) or can work long hours returning very late and leaving early. When he is home he is delightful.

We also have Phil who is in his mid 30’s and work at Full Circle Bar as a bartender. He has a law degree and likes to watch Jeopardy. He is also the sweetest man and usually sleeps from 4am - 2pm - as he works bar hours and is gone from 2pm - 4am on most days. He is also a delight when he is home, though he keeps to himself for the most part.

Natalie and her husband live in the Master with their newly born baby. She’s nearly 3 months old! Fisk (early 40’s) is a designer and works in Manhattan. He’s out normal hours from about 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday. When he’s not there he’s either binge watching shows with me, playing games downstairs, or playing Skeeball at the bar. He is SUPER awesome ;) Then there’s Natalie (early 30’s). Right now, she’s on maternity leave, but starting the first week of December she’ll be back at work. She works Tuesdays through Saturdays from about 8 - 6pm. and manages a hotel property in downtown Brooklyn, so she can be late or get out early depending on the situation. She’s also an artist, so in her free time when she’s not watching the little one, she’s in the studio in the basement painting, playing video games/boardgames, or at the bar playing Skeeball. Amity is the baby! She is a baby, so while her temperment has been pretty good so far, she is likely to have a fit at least twice a week about something - as she is adapting to life. Once Natalie is back at work, she’ll be at daycare Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

What we’re looking for! Someone who really just fits in. None of us are clean freaks, but we’re all very respectful of each other and the space. We clean up after ourselves in a reasonable amount of time. Having 1 guest over is never really an issue, but we give everyone a heads up about wanting to invite more guests or have dinner parties or general stuff on our Facebook group at least a week in advance so everyone has a chance to see and make sure it doesn’t conflict with anything. We’re kind to each other and we expect the new roommate to be the same. We really have no requirements for you, whether you’re male/female/whatever or what you’re into as long as you’re respectful of others. Bonus if you’re into Skeeball, Comics, Video Games, Board Games, Film, Art and Design - as these are common interests that we can all chat about. :)

Also the room is semi furnished with a bed frame, mirror, hangers, desk - but all can be removed if you like. Also the internet lives in your room (it’s the only place it can be) so heads up on that.
