My brother and I are looking for a roommate to fill our third bedroom. We live in Prairie Village, we’re renting a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house. This is a great location, the neighborhood is quiet, we’re a five-minute drive from downtown Overland Park and are surrounded by multiple smaller shopping centers around five to ten minutes in every direction, dozens of great places to walk to when the weather is warm. The neighborhood is mostly young families and seniors. My brother is 26, and I’m 32, we’re both chill respectful and focused on our careers. We’re looking for someone who isn’t too loud, someone respectful, and low drama. There are currently no pets allowed, but we’re going to see if we can negotiate dogs into the lease this next time around. We’re currently going month to month, once we get someone, we’ll be locking in for a set period, we’re open to half a year to a year lease depending on what works for you. Rent would be $650. The house has a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, and a finished basement, we haven’t done anything with the basement yet, it’s free space to use if you’re interested. You’d be sharing a bathroom as the other bathroom is connected to my room. We have sofas, a mounted tv in the sitting room, and a table and chairs in the dining room. The back area has a patio that we’re looking to buy lawn furniture for. You’d also be getting a garage space along with the room. We’ve been here for over a year now and we really love the place, no complaints. The landlady is great and is very prompt to respond to any issues that might arise.
