The house we live in has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and the common areas (living/dining room) are fully furnished. We have a well-appointed kitchen and a dining room with table that adjusts to seat up to 10. I love to cook. The house has hardwood floors in great condition, laundry onsite, super-fast Internet, and is within walking distance of Whole Foods Market and a 20-minute walk from the beach. We live on a dead-end street among some very friendly family-oriented neighbors, somewhat close to the Santa Monica airport (so there is the sound of an occasional small airplane taking off). Two distinct back yard areas with succulent garden and patio seating. There is one bedroom available in the front of the house with a large closet along one wall, refinished hardwood floors, and lots of natural light. The dimensions are roughly 10.5’ x 12’. There’s also storage space in the garage and behind it, two separate outdoor areas, and parking for 2 cars in the driveway with more free parking on the street. I have an indoor/outdoor cat who is very friendly. No other pets, please.

Looking for an easygoing, friendly, drama-free person to share a very special home that I’ve lived in for 21 years. I (Maggie) own my own IT support business and a small electronic music record label, and I’m a DJ, photographer and digital artist. My partner Robert, the curator of the succulent garden outside, has a life sciences background and currently works in the culinary industry. My other housemate, Marinho, works in customer service at Apple by day and is a published film score composer/world music producer as well. I have a friendly cat, Bowie, who mostly keeps to our room and the back yard.

The creative spirit is alive and well in this house, but we also know how to adult and Get Things Done. Both Marinho and I work from home a lot, keeping to our respective rooms for focus, and tend to interact mostly in the kitchen, where we all enjoy cooking in our well-appointed kitchen.

***This has been my home for 21 years now. Due to a recent major health incident, I will be terminating my lease in early 2024 to relocate somewhere more amenable to my needs, so the room for rent is only guaranteed through the end of January. After that, if I need more time to find my new spot, the room will be available on a month-to-month basis. ***

If you would like to consider joining our household, I ask you to: 1) be prompt about paying your rent and bills; and 2) be responsible about things that affect all of us, like locking doors, turning off unused lights, and bringing guests over. Otherwise, it’s pretty chill here. Thank you!
