Laurel's room

We have an basement apartment that we are renting as a room in our house. It is furnished, has its own kitchen, own full bathroom, private washer and dryer, and own entrance. We are considering this a room for rent in the house as there needs to be 2 exits for the space for safety reasons. The second exit is through the main house. And, we occassionally may need to access the space as the main electric panel, hot water heater, and wifi are all located in this space. (it is not often we need access to these utilities, but will be mindful and considerate of your space). Ideally, the individual renting will be interested in being our friends and enjoying the upstairs at times for meals, movies, and making music. We have a saltwater pool. The home is close to a wilderness area for hiking, biking, X-country skiing. And, close to a river for kayaking and paddle boarding.

We are a family of 4; Husband, Wife, very active 17 yrs old in high school, 20 yr old taking a gap year, and 3 cats. We enjoy playing guitar and singing classic rock and Christian songs. We are faith based, outdoor adventurist, want-to-be gardeners, retired deadhead/hippies, but still work full-time from home.

Ideally, this would be a short term rental, like 3 months. However, if the right person comes along, we would consider renting longterm until……….?
