You would be renting a quaint room within a beautiful townhome which features a large window and a closet with built-in shelves. Separate clothes racks in the room. Shared upstairs full bathroom and downstairs half bathroom. Pictures show the room unfurnished plus some examples of how a previous tenant arranged the room for reference.

The house is also fully furnished with beautiful paintings on the walls mostly done by my late wife. There is a large TV downstairs as well as a L-shaped sofa, dining room table, coffee table, reading nook and separate open living space with large windows letting in tons of natural light and beautiful outdoor views, mostly for use by tenants. Kitchen has everything it needs to be fully functional and shared by a household. Washing machine and dryer off the kitchen. Small back patio with chairs, table and decorative plants. Community pool with keyed access as well as tennis courts. As well, you’ll be sharing a bathroom with a female roommate, therefore females are preferred (or mindful males).

Located in Northeast Austin close to many greenbelts, convenience stores, and main roads like 183, I-35 and 290. Renting is on a minimum 3 to 6 month lease or up to a year. Most of the previous tenants have stayed at least a year, some longer. If you seem like a great fit and you wish to commit to a longer stay, we can certainly negotiate a longer lease agreement. This is preferable as well. I will be asking for proof of income and for your most recent credit check.

There is a deposit of $250 plus first month’s rent. Rent includes all of the utilities listed above, plus general household expenses like filters (monthly HVAC, water, refrigerator), light bulbs, trash bags, batteries, exterminator, ice maker, insurance, carpet and upholstery cleaning, so the amount you will pay is fixed at $850/mo.

The room is becoming available because the previous long-term tenant, a high school choir director in her younger thirties, had a son in February and is getting a place of her own with the child’s father. The other roommate in the adjacent bedroom, with whom you will share a full bathroom, is also in her younger thirties, and after acquiring her biology degree she parked it while pursuing a career as a voice actress and supplementing her income as a Starbucks barista.

Property Manager/Fellow Roommate: “I am 72yr old widower and semi-retired lawyer. I reside primarily in the master bedroom suite and mostly stick to myself. You’ll hear me play the acoustic guitar occasionally or see me downstairs in the kitchen fixing a meal or some tea, but for the most part I enjoy my solitude. I’ve lived with folks my age and those younger in age. LGBTQ friendly. The townhome itself is surrounded by trees and is very beautiful. It’s a quiet suburb without traffic sounds and most other townhomes in this location are very quiet. It’s a nice, respectful neighborhood. Great for walking!”
