About the room
Peaceful, top floor rooms available in a prewar colonial in Whitney Ave. The owner, who lives right below us, cares a lot about peace and quiet, so you need to be the type who actually turns the door knob when you close the door. The neighborhood’s atmosphere is that of a comfortable suburb, in which families raise their children and retired folks walk their dogs. Parks literally surround us from all directions, while there are absolutely no bars, restaurants, or for that matter no businesses in a walking distance. Fun-loving young folks will be bored and even feel oppressed here; nature lovers, austere bores like myself, and those with regular and regulated daily schedules will thrive among us, who are all polite, friendly and nice.
Besides peace quiet, other benefits that come with the spacious bedrooms include a lot of storage space, a good-sized eat-in kitchen, w/d in unit, and a sizeable full bath. One bedroom overlooks the thoroughfare of Whitney, across which sits a stone-brick church and a park/botanical garden. Another bdrm faces the comfortable-looking nextdoor house and not the street; this room should be absolutely serene. Living room is converted into a third bedroom, and that’s the secret of this pricing. The dining table in the kitchen should be our cozy space for socialization.
About the roomies
I’m a mature woman with an academic background. Working from home, with loner kinds of hobbies like running, reading, movies and sewing (not quite quilting yet …), I tend to keep it to myself, though with an occasional (at least once a day) need to socialize even if just a bit—im sociable and social and believe that particularly in a co-living environment like this one that’s one of the most important qualities that every member should possess.
