About the room

[Updated Sep 13th] Only BR#3 is still available (My BR#1 and BR#2 have been rented).

Offering an individual one or two unfurnished rooms (out of three) for individual rent in a multi-level single family home, with central heating and A/C. The home is at the quiet end of a cul-de-sac and is not only quite private, but also very quiet. There are very few kids/children in the area and those that are, are further up the street. It is nice, homey and quiet here. I get along well with my neighbors and seek to maintain great relationships. The location is in Glen Burnie, Maryland, with access to nearby highways, grocery stores, library, schools, AA college, gas stations, resturants and even downtown; public bus stops are available with about a 10 minute walk. There is a roomy back yard which I don’t do very much with; it has a BBQ grill. Ideas??

Rent covers electricity, internet access (wired and wireless), shared use of the kitchen, its appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher), the living room space/TV, and the washer/dryer in the basement and the backyard, too. Sharing the kitchen fridge/freezer is of course available, and also having a small fridge in your room is a good thing, but up to you. Each room is carpeted, electrical outlets on each wall, and dual gigabit wired network ethernet ports in each room; along with in-home mesh wireless.

If you are looking for a good place to move in to, please respond to this posting and include your email address, and your phone number; we’ll set up sometime to call and then to meet up to talk about mutual expectations and the way forward.

BR#1 and BR#2 security deposit is $450.00. BR#3 security deposit is $575.00. The full security deposit is due when you sign the lease. Upon moveout with a vacuumed well-cleaned room/bathroom, no damage to the properly, then Security Deposit would be immediately refunded. I’m reasonable and sensible regarding normal wear-and-tear.

Half of the two car garage is available to rent ($75/month) to park your car/truck in (depending on size, of course). Since I have three rooms to offer, whoever signs a rental agreement first, which includes renting the garage space, gets it. Room rent will only increase $75 annually.

  • My BR#1: Rent: $550.00 – (10’ x 9’7β€œ, with internal closet 2’2β€œ x 5’11β€œ), shares full bathroom in the livingroom.
  • My BR#2: Rent: $675.00 – (14’2β€œ x 10’3β€œ, with internal closet 2’2β€œ x 4’10β€œ, shares full bathroom in the livingroom.
  • My BR#3: Rent: $980.00 – (13’10β€œ x 12’5β€œ, spacious, with internal walk-in closet: 2’9β€œ x 8’3β€œ), with a private full bathroom of shower, toilet, sink and window: 4’10β€œ x 8’5β€œ.
  • Livingroom bathroom is 4’8β€œ x 13’, with shower, toilet and sink, no window.

About the roomies

I am a single guy, and easy to get along with. I’m respectful, patient, kind, intelligent and considerate. I work from home with an eclectic schedule. At times I can be up late, and sleep late, while many others I work a fairly normal daytime scheduleβ€”yet I am always quiet and considerate of my tenants.

I enjoy my privacy and will respect yours. I am open to any person, any gender, any race, any size. LGBTQ+/kink friendly. I am seeking professional or student, courteous, like-minded tenents in the age range of 25 - 55yo, professional, with a full time job. Being socialable, respectful and cooperative are desireable qualities. I am looking for harmony and compatibility with myself and potentially other future tenants/room mates; people who’ll work together and look for ways to live happily together. Someone who cleans up after themselves, and prefers to use their headphones when playing TV/music/games in your room. I’m ok with friends coming over to visit on occasion. Its ok to have fun while pointed respecting the space, privacy and solitute of others in my home.

A few things I request your understanding of:

  • No smoking, no vaping and no drugs of any kind in or around my home.
  • No pets (cats, dogs, gerbils, fish, etc…) nor service animals.
  • The home was constructed (back in 2009) without any kind of handicap accessability support.
  • There is no additional storage available in my home nor on my property for personal effects beyond what you keep in your bedroom.
  • We’ll alternate weeks in taking outside the recycleables and garbage from the kitchen.
  • There is a lock already on the bedroom door and we’ll both have a key.

Ask any other questions you may have when you initially write.

Thank youβ€”I look forward to hearing from you.
