The primary bedroom in a 2 bed/1 bath is available for an annual lease beginning September 1st. The bedroom, in the NW corner of the house, has 7 windows and 2 closets; with 221 square feet, there is plenty of room for a queen bed, dressers, and a desk or small home office set up. (The room has been my sewing studio/guest room, as pictured, but will be fully empty by the time you see it in person! Or it can be partially furnished with the twin daybed and some shelving/tables, let me know!) The 2nd floor apartment is spacious, light-filled, with original hardwood floors and a very high ceiling, fully furnished and very well appointed, with lots of plants, art, a TV, and a nice stereo.

There is central air, a washer and dryer in the unit, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a bidet! Small balcony with private outdoor stairs that lead into a small patio with an abundant kitchen garden, and pink peonies in the spring. Utilities fluctuate seasonally but average $75 a month when shared. We are literally seconds off of 93 (exit 32), a 10 minute walk from Medford Square (where there are lots of bus stops and blue bikes!), and a mile or so from the Fells.

I am a woman in my early 30s with a small business partially run from home, and have lived here for almost a year so am settled in the space and looking for someone who is interested in a sustainable, somewhat communal, and peaceful home. My ideal roommate is respectful of boundaries, able to communicate effectively, and values equity, collaboration, and building community. This is a really beautiful space and my hope is that with the right roommate, we can create an intentional and stable home for both of us in this time of great housing instability.

I garden, farm, and forage so there is no shortage of fresh produce, herbs, flowers, and herbal medicine. You must be okay around children as I often care for my nieces in the home and it is a child-friendly space. There are 2 male cats who live in the downstairs apartment but often come upstairs for snuggles and treats.
