This 2 BR home is cozy yet spacious with hard wood floors, a dishwasher, washer drier and basement. There is a small lawn out front (I’m happy to share my Adirondak chairs and hammock) and off-street parking. It’s a lovely spot that’s quiet and peaceful but still accessible to restaurants, parks and coffee shops. We’re within a 10 minute walk to downtown with the benefit of a residential feel with greenery and awesome neighbors. Dover’s a fun spot that is close to Portsmouth/the ocean & a hop to Maine as well.

Both landscaping and plowing are included in rent. Dover has trash/recycling pickup weekly and utilities with internet run an extra $150/month ($250 max during cold winter months).

I’m a High School teacher in my mid 30’s looking to rent out one of the bedrooms in my home. I enjoy cooking, hiking, reading and yoga - I’m an introvert at heart and love quiet time with sporadic socializing mostly on the weekends. I love to keep a tidy home, walk downtown to enjoy a coffee, and am a huge fan of true crime and a good space saga (I could watch Interstellar on repeat).

On occasion I’ll have a few friends over for dinner or a game night, but otherwise adventure out to catch up with folks. I have pondered adopting a dog, but haven’t yet committed to the responsibility; and so in the meantime I enjoy doggie babysitting once and a while on the weekend for friends. The landlord does allow dogs, but not cats, for an extra monthly fee should you have a doggie pal.

I’ve lived here two years, so the apt is mostly furnished other than the free bedroom. I’m happy to share all my things, including kitchenware. While there’s not tons of room for furniture (I hope that perhaps there’s someone out there who’ll be relieved to not have much to buy), there is a basement with lots of storage and room in the kitchen/bathroom for your things as well.
