About the roomies

Current occupants:
• I’m Maris! I’m 27 and I work as a high school teacher. I am warm, hardworking, level-headed, and loving. Meeting new people and connecting with others is one of the most special parts of life for me!
• Lilly is my 11-year-old rescue dog. She’s extremely affectionate, bright, and easy to love. My friends and roommates tend to bond with her very quickly.

I’m looking for roommates who are…
• Genuine and honest
• Considerate of others
• Kind in their treatment of animals, always
• Clean/organized as far as shared spaces in the apartment go
• Open communicators
• NOT passive aggressive or reactive
• Non-smoking (very important because Lilly has serious respiratory issues)
• Responsible and financially reliable
• Preferably, female and around my age

My ideal roommate dynamic:
• I prefer to be actual friends with my roommates rather than just sharing an apartment. I love to spend time together at home (even if it’s just a brief check-in after work) or go out and find fun things to do together around town. But it’s important to balance that with respecting everyone’s need for personal space and alone time, too, of course.
• I’ve loved past roommate situations where we support each other and consider ourselves a team. If a concern were to arise during the year, we wouldn’t immediately assume the worst in one another. Instead we’d approach the situation with understanding, and with the goal of working together to find a solution.

^^ Apologies for the lengthiness and many details on this post, haha, but hopefully it helps give you a good idea of what living here would be like.
Honestly, this apartment has been such a peaceful, happy place to live so far, and I want it to keep being that way for everyone moving forward. 😌
If you’re interested in living here, reach out! We can chat to make sure we’re a good match and then organize a time for you to visit the place in person and meet Lilly. Thanks and I’m excited to hear from you!
