Seeking Roommate for Our NW Gainesville Home.

Beautiful neighborhood in great location with plenty of shopping, parks and trails nearby. We are the homeowners and we’re seeking one responsible roommate. This is our home, not a boarding house or frat house. No alcohol or drug use. Smoking permitted on the lanai.

Rent is $800 monthly. Deposit is waived with suitable credit. I do a basic background check prior to move-in. Neither criminal nor credit has to be perfect. We want to know the situation we’re dealing with and take it from there ;-)

Lanai and spacious back yard, open patio. Tile floors and a warm, inviting family room. You’re welcome to use refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Your room has its own AC unit.

Gardenias, Azaleas, Magnolia and more.

Songbirds, red-tailed hawks, barred owls, squirrels and other wildlife are frequent visitors. YMCA, parks very nearby (including Springtree Park, Hogtown Creek Headwaters Park and Northwood Park w/ the Senior Center). Paved paths steps away (with no motor vehicles allowed).

Sandy’s Place, Nopal, Scuola Pizza, Country Foodly, Las Americas Bakery, El Indio, Five Star Pizza, WalMart, trampoline park. Bus service on NW 39th Ave (SR 222) and NW 34th ST (SR 121). Publix to the NW at Hunters Crossing and also to the SE at The Exchange. Norton Elementary, Westwood Middle, Gainesville High. Winn-Dixie and Ward’s are also close. The Springtree neighborhood enjoys a terrific combination of natural beauty, trees, birds and wonderful neighbors. Utilities for electric, gas, water, sewer, trash removal and internet to be split monthly. Requesting first and last months’ rent at move in. Our bedroom is on other side of house. You’ll have use of another with tub and shower (we do use the bath).

We’re not running a fraternity house. There will only be ONE bedroom rented - YOURS! We are offering part of our home. You will be a resident and co-housing friend, not just a “head for a bed.” Feel free to use the aging stereo or flat screen TV and Roku. This is a nice neighborhood. Things are usually quiet here …. other than when the Gators play for the SEC Championship or neighbors having fun around Independence Day or New Years Day. It gets a little noisy then.

We do have a sweet, aging house cat.

Square foot area is guesstimated. You’ll have exclusive use of your one bedroom (~180 SF) plus sharing laundry room, dining/kitchen/living area and full bathroom (~850 SF?).

My wife and I are semi-retired, easy going. She’s a veteran and I’m a real estate consultant and licensed real estate broker. Our son comes by - usually once per week and our daughter comes by when she’s in town.
