In addition to rent, we also pay for natural gas, electricity, and internet. The bills are typically around $200/mo total. More in winter, less in summer.

You’ll be renting a large bedroom, heated by an in-wall electric unit. It has two windows (east and south facing) and lots of sunlight. The room is directly connected to the bathroom and the living room.

We have a big living room with a wood burning stove and natural gas heat that gets lots of natural light. We have a lot of houseplants in the large south-facing window. As far as furniture, we have a sectional couch, coffee table, TV stand and 70“ TV, and a huge bean bag in the main room. Definitely open to rearranging things. It’s worth noting that the kitchen doesn’t have a dishwasher, and sort of seems like it was built before there was a need for appliances, though we do have a refrigerator/ freezer, toaster, and gas range/ oven. I don’t have a microwave, but I’d be up for getting one.

We have a full size washer and dryer in the back room, as well as a small couch, vertical storage unit, and my tool bench. This room opens out to the back deck and fenced yard. The back room is more or less laundry and storage right now. It’s directly below my bedroom, which is the only upstairs room.

We also have some storage under the house, which is accessed by a lockable door at the top of the driveway. This storage stays dry, but it’s a dirt floor, so anything stored down there should be able to handle, or be protected from things like spiders and potentially mice or beetles or whatever lives under a house.

There’s a deck off the front of the house, with steps down to the driveways and front yard. Parking is unique. We have a short driveway that fits two cars pretty comfortably. We also have a long, steep driveway that goes all the way up to the house, which would fit two cars end to end. I typically park my truck on the long steep driveway. We have a bear box for garbage, and each week we’re allotted one barrel of garbage and one blue bag of recyclables.

Myself, and rarely my girlfriend, will be living here. I have an almost 2 year old male rescue dog named Keel, and a 5mo old female kitten named Bean.

Keel is a large male dog but very sweet and does not bark often. He’s afraid of his shadow, but loves making friends. We’re working on his anxiety. Bean is very comfortable with dogs, and quite sweet and gentle in general.

I’m pretty chill, 420 friendly and will usually be hanging out or out camping or snowboarding. This season I’ll most likely have a pass at Diamond Peak or Mt Rose for the first time, rather than the IKON, though I’m interested in doing more split boarding this season.

I have a membership at the grossly overpriced gym in Incline Village, which also has a Truckee location. I try to eat healthy foods and I don’t drink often. I keep the house organized, though I’m not a neat freak. I do my dishes, and major cleaning typically happens 1-2 times a month unless we’re bringing a lot of dirt into the house, or if the pets are shedding.
