Megan's room

The Room: Single bedroom 11’ x 13’. Located upstairs. Shares walls with the kitchen, living room and my bedroom. With a small closet. Easily fits a Queen sized bed, dresser, computer desk, etc. No pets allowed unfortunately. WIFI internet available. The House: Ranch style home, built in 1955. Large upstairs shared living room space. Kitchen - modern appliances. No dishwasher! So hand washing/drying your dishes is a must. Shared single full bathroom. 2 upstairs bedrooms. 1 shared laundry space with washer and dryer. Downstairs has a 470 sq ft bedroom currently occupied by Tim but we are willing to compromise if you’re looking for a larger space (or if you’re a couple). Huge backyard with ample places to grow food or flowers. Detached garage and unfinished basement space ideal for storage. The neighborhood is a bit ghetto but surprisingly quiet. Located right on a bus line. Near Clark College and Downtown Vancouver. Walmart neighborhood market is within walking distance. We do have a driveway but it starts to get tricky with 3+ cars. On street parking is also available. During the summer, an AC window unit or fan is advised. During the winter, a space heater is likely necessary. There is a fireplace but it only does so much. The house uses oil heating and we determined it is too costly to regularly fill and maintain. But we’re open to suggestions.

Megan: I am a 37 year old, single, female. I work full time. I have one vehicle. I also have a cat, Mabel. I am quiet and reclusive. I love my home and I love my bed. I spend most of my time in my bedroom, browsing reddit or playing console games. I have headphones to accommodate any potential noise as I often stay up late. I am not very sociable and value my alone time.

I am quiet, respectful. I clean up after myself. I have never been evicted. I rarely have guests. LGBTQ friendly. Non-smoker. Weed friendly.

Timothy: 37, single, male. He works bank hours. He’s more sociable than myself. He likes to skate, play video games, mess with any and all electronics. He might have a friend or two over once a month, but he’ll let you know in advance. Tim has one vehicle. He is a smoker but only outside.

We’re both respectful of work hours. We have a white board where we can communicate messages, like needed bathroom/shower/laundry times, etc. We encourage open communication to avoid any unnecessary resentment or squabbles. We like to divvy up cleaning duties in the shared spaces.
