Fully furnished room (as seen in photo) for rent with a shared bathroom in a 5 bedroom 3 and a half bath house located centrally located in a nice Southwest San Jose/Los Gatos neighborhood. 5min from the 85, 18mins to SJSU or SCU, 15-20mins to Santana Row or downtown, 8-10min to Oakridge, 10min from DT Los Gatos. Walking distance to local parks and hiking trails. Street parking is free but driveway parking is not. Central AC/heat, in house washer/dryer, full kitchen with cookware and dishes/silverware available to share (please clean up after yourself), two living rooms, backyard access, and garage space for storage (within reason), internet is available but bills are not included in rent, furniture in the room can also be removed if not needed.
I am pretty relaxed about visitors as long as you don’t abuse my leniency and visitors don’t interrupt housemates living here. Just give me a heads up and respect quiet hours and peoples sleep. (No extended stays)
I understand how hard it is to find places that allow pets and I personally love animals which is why pets are welcome but with certain restrictions. Dogs must weigh under 50lbs (give or take I’m not too strict but large dogs will take up more space in the house). Owners are fully responsible for their pets (any damage they cause, messes they make, fur shedding, injuring anyone…). Your pets must also get along with my 90lb German Shepard (he is very nice).
All common areas are open to use, just clean up after yourself and be respectful of the space and other housemates using them as well. The kitchen is available to cook but please be mindful of others and don’t take up too much space or take too long to cook. Space will be given to you in the fridge and pantries.
Please no smoking/vaping, drug use, etc…
I’m a 23yr old veteran, I work in healthcare and both me and my girlfriend will be staying in the house. We are pretty laid back and mostly play video games, hit the gym, travel, bike, hike, camp, snowboard, cook, get drinks at breweries and all the casual young people stuff. I like to keep the house clean and would expect that you respect my hard work in trying to keep the house clean by also doing your part and cleaning up after yourself in any of the common areas that you use (No dishes left in the sink, cleaning up spills or messes, not leaving personal items in shared areas, etc…) I understand that we all forget and make mistakes and I’m not super picky but if its a trend then that’ll be a problem.
Currently there are 3 housemates, 2 of which are moving within the month of August. 2 work in tech and 1 in healthcare. Younger renters are more than welcome!
