Property: Large house in a neighborhood, with 20 connecting acres of wetlands offering wildlife viewing, designated off-street parking, huge acre landscaped yard, use of gardening spaces, BBQ, solo firepit, gazebo, and furnished patio for community living.

Kitchenette: Ideal for single-use, Corian countertops, double sinks, full-size refrigerator, Breville Oven (w/air fryer & dehydrator settings), double Cooktop. Bedroom: Light and bright with a large picture window, all new surfaces, built-in window seat, vanity, and walk-in closet. Tile bathroom en-suite. Living room: Your own spacious, contemporary, open-floor plan, new floors, with dining and kitchen adjacent. Plenty of space for exercise, yoga etc. Utility room: Washer/dryer on the same level as your apartment. Utility room shared with one other person.

Location: Hidden area in lower NE just off Marine Drive (close to river, kayaking, bike paths, parks, airport, golf courses, and sunset river-dining). Only 18 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to yellow-line Max and I-5. Five-minute walk to bus.

You might LOVE… Community oriented neighbors, the ‘out-in the country’ feel, while still being in the city, amazing wildlife and bird watching, planting your own garden, having your own kitchen, or sharing a glass of wine with neighbors around the fire-pit. You might NOT love… The sounds of upper unit dwelling (quiet floors have been installed upstairs but you will still hear sounds) a shared entrance, basement living room, no pets, or car dependency (10/100 Walk Score, 42/100 Bike Score, 32/100 Transit Score). Single-occupancy in shared-housing means one-person with limited overnight guests. Like all of Portland we have a small amount of houseless folks in nearby neighborhoods which (to-date) have never caused problems. Consider all the above to feel confident this is a good fit for you.

A good fit would be something like, but not limited to… One financially secure person who is not drug or alcohol dependent, is not high-maintenance, is responsible, mature, respectful, clean, and easy-going. Need NOT apply if… You are NOT financially secure, not tolerant of shared walls/floors sounds, or have a problem with people of different skin color, age, religious or sexual preferences.

Income Requirement: Gross income must be at least two (2) times the monthly rent. Three (3) current paystubs submitted with your application. If self-employed, a copy of the previous year’s tax return or W-2 submitted, along with the last three (3) months entire bank statements showing income.

Lease Agreement: One-person only! and must have a satisfactory, verifiable, rental history (i.e., no prior evictions, late payments, disturbing the rights and comforts of other residents, poor housekeeping, unauthorized occupants, property damage or failure to adhere to the policies and regulations of the community or previous management company.) Credit History: Applicant(s) must have a satisfactory credit history. Anyone with a bankruptcy or repossession may be required to post an additional deposit in order to be approved.

About the roomies

We are… Three nearly-retired active professional persons living on an acre property, in our own units, plus one in a cottage out back with a dog. We are over 50, open-minded, easy-going, avid travelers, bikers, hikers and kayakers.
