Renting second floor of fairly new house which contains the following: one large bedroom, one small bedroom/office; one large living area joining the two bedrooms. Second floor is largely unfurnished: a couple of dressers, one large bed. Limited storage closets. Second floor has its own thermostat and is not handicap accessible. Limited capacity for moving large, heavy furniture upstairs. Shared kitchen and laundry room on the first floor.

Expect house to stay reasonably clean - especially in shared areas. No smokers. No pets. No drugs. No loud music. House guests should be limited, especially late night or overnight guests.

Utilities not included, may be around $200 a month depending on usage (gas, electric, water). Currently do not have cable TV. If renter wants cable they will have to pay to have it installed and add to their cost the monthly fee. Internet can be made available for the 2nd floor but renter will need to pay installation costs and probably about $65 a month depending on the service renter signs up for. Recommend renter consider renter’s insurance as well.

Total costs would be around $1,000 a month depending on utility usage, cable TV, and internet.

Month-to-month lease. The length of time to rent cannot be guaranteed for circumstances that can be shared later, but expect to probably be able to offer the space for 12 months. At least three good personal references, rental and/or ownership history, as well as proof of income will be requested.

Single 50+ male, quiet, usually home. Have no pets. Do not smoke or do drugs. Rarely have house guests. Personalities must be a good match since sharing part of the house.
