About the room
This is a 4 bed 1.5 bath (1800 sq ft) home located near Cabel Hospital (0.5 miles) and Ritter Park (0.1 miles). I purchased the home at the end of May and have been living here since mid-June. I absolutely love the house and the street I live on. The street is full of kind and watchful neighbors who are always willing to give a hand. As for the house, it has beautiful and clean finishes that make me feel like I am living in someone elseβs AirBnB. The prior owner did a wonderful job. There is a ton of storage, a lovely backyard, large driveway, front porch.
The living situation: I would preferably like to rent out the second-floor room and the third-floor bonus space together. I imagine my roommate having their own hangout space, where they can set up a lounge area, TV, office, bedroom, etc. There is an independently controlled furnace up there (so you can set your own temperature), lots of natural light, tons of built in storage. On the second floor is a traditional bedroom with closet that is next to the bathroom, laundry, and stairs going to the third floor. You could use this as your bedroom, office, or a guest room when you have guests in town. ($800) Alternately we can discuss rental of one or the other private spaces. If you opt to rent only one, then I may work on finding a second roommate.
Shared spaces: Laundry, Bathrooms (full on second floor, Β½ on the first), Kitchen, Dinning Room, Driveway, Basement Storage, Garage Storage, Front Porch, Back Yard
Utilities: Split
Animals: I have a 58 lb adult pit-mix. He is in a closed area of the house and has access to a doggy door while I am away at work. He loves people, but le.ss so other dogs (ok with smaller dogs and female dogs), I strongly prefer no pets but open to discuss and a meet and greet with your animals.
About the roomies
34 y.o. female who works in healthcare. Finishing my training this year at Marshall University. I moved here from Portland, OR so I donβt know many people out here. I spend a lot of time at home working on projects, watching TV, hanging out with my dog, and cooking dinner. I live a healthy lifestyle. I go to the gym regularly and enjoy outdoor activities. I would describe myself as quite tidy, but things can get messy when I am cooking or working on a project. I always make sure things are clean and not an inconvenience for those I am living with. I have a long-distance girlfriend, family, and friends who will be periodically coming out to visit and staying with me this fall. I am very unlikely to ever have a party, unless I am hosting a dinner. I am very easy to get along with and tend to be a very direct communicator. I hate drama.
Things I like: womenβs soccer, painting, cooking, interior design, road cycling, cross-fit, backpacking, camping, paddleboarding, snowboarding, TV and Movie Comedies, Drama, Rom-Com (No scary or intense stuff).
