Best of both worlds? Living alone most of the time with part-time housemates. We live in Europe 8-10 months a year so you’d have the house to yourself most of the time.

Our home is a 3b/2b that sits on a half acre, with mountain views, in the Lake Hatcher neighborhood of Pagosa Lakes. We have spent the last six years remodeling just about everything and love our home very much. Because we are gone most of the year, it will be your home most of the time (8-10 months a year). The large deck and front porch are brand new and wonderful spaces to spend time. The housemate bedroom is on the ground floor, along with a full bathroom (no tub), kitchen, sunroom and living room with a fireplace. Our private space would be the upstairs space which consists of a bedroom, a sitting area and a bathroom. We are leaving our furnishings in the home but are happy to clear your bedroom should you want to bring your own furnishings. All of the windows were replaced last year and are beautiful. There is a mountain view from your bedroom. There is plenty of driveway parking and a new large shed available to store a bicycle or other personal items. Our vehicles will remain at the property and we may ask you to run them periodically.

We are a retired, Coloradan couple living in Europe most of the time. We love our home and Colorado but find Europe is a better fit at the moment. We love to hike, read, travel, scuba dive, eat and cook whole, plant-based food. We are looking for a housemate because we think we can find that special person to share our home with, making it a win for us and a win for them.

The house rules are simple, take care and respect the home as if it were your own. Abide by the HOA rules, including quiet time from 10p - 7a and be kind to our neighbors. No smoking, no vaping, no grilling (or hot oil) on the decks (there is a dedicated space for grilling just off the deck).

Our ideal housemate would also be a vegetarian willing to live alone most of the time. Someone who would be willing and able to either mow the grass and run a snowblower or split the cost of hiring professionals.
