About the room

Room for rent in a south hill/ Perry District home. The 1895 architecture and modern updates define the warmth of this living space. East facing windows provide a bright feel with both sun and moonlight! Large closet, too!

Looking for professional or student to share this space with myself and two others. Must be friendly and respectful of everyone in a co-living household. Currently, the house is co-ed. We intend to maintain a household where each can live independently while also appreciating coming together for shared meals or events.

Located near Perry District, minutes from Sacred Heart and Deaconess Hospitals, St Luke’s Rehab, Gonzaga University, Washington State University, Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College, downtown and south hill shopping districts. Several bus connections within 10 minutes walk. Also, less than 10 minutes drive from the Jefferson Lot Park and Ride.

Less than 2 miles from Gonzaga University, and 1 mile from the University District downtown via the new U-District Gateway Pedestrian Bridge.

The first month rent, last month rent, and a $300 deposit are required to move in. Rent is month to month. Utility costs are shared (Avista, City, and Xfinity internet)

Expectations for the renter:

  • Must have a good relationship with animals. I have a medium sized 55#, 2 year old Griffon/Lab mix (yes, a Griffondor!) who loves running, skijoring, swimming, and fetch. There is also a small Corgi named Bella.

  • Be respectful of shared space.

  • Share in a house-chore rotation.

  • Must be sociable and appreciate a well-connected, co-living household.

  • No smoking of any kind, no excessive alcohol use. This is a drug free household.

  • COVID-19: Vaccination and booster required.

  • Garden work is available, but not required, for those who like to get their hands in good soil.

  • Once a month I invite dancers for an evening of Argentine Tango. Also, I may conduct other dance related activities in the main living/dining space, such as private or group lessons/practices. Your participation is optional ;-)

Amenities:

  • Shared kitchen, shared laundry
  • Shared full bath upstairs, half bathroom downstairs
  • Unfinished basement for limited storage

About the roomies

I am Matt and own the house. My main interest is dancing and teaching Argentine Tango. I also appreciate good food, cooking and baking, a variety of outdoor activities like running, hiking, and skiing. The other housemate is Cait, a recently graduated/certified social worker who also appreciates food and being active and is mom to the Corgi.
