Northcoast Homeshare's room

The home has two smaller dogs and can’t accept any other pets. It is located off Myrtle Avenue, close to the Burre Center and CVS. This downstairs 2 bedroom apartment is small but in great shape after a fairly recent renovation. The living/dining and kitchen areas all connect, with access to a small fenced yard for the dogs. The carpeted room is unfurnished and needs a bed. The room will be empty (unlike what the picture shows). There is a built-in closet and extra storage (dresser/shelves) could be provided. The renovated bathroom features a bathtub with a hand-held shower wand. The home provider uses a chair to shower that can be removed easily.

I run the Northcoast Homeshare program where we connect people over housing opportunities. Our services are free of charge to the community. We have a matching process that requires a 15 day trial period (no cost to housemate, who is expected to maintain their current housing). This home provider has been approved after a personal interview and 3 reference checks.

The home provider has experience sharing her space with a couple of previous housemates. She loves spending time with her two female dogs, watches a lot of TV due to mobility challenges, and goes out to community events. She gets help from an IHSS worker 10am-2pm on weekdays. Absolutely no smoking of any kind due to the home provider’s medical condition.

An ideal housemate would be female due to the shared bathroom, have their own interests outside of the home, have a positive outlook on life, would be cordial and could handle a high energy dog who is often looking for attention and might get underfoot.
