The $1,270 is the total billing, which would be split between you and your partner (or a friend). We are mostly looking for queer roommates. $200 of the security deposit is refundable, as the other fees will be put towards you applying to our rental company and being put on the lease. Split level house with a basement of three rooms and a bathroom. Shared kitchen upstairs (stocked). Expansive front yard and back yard (with a grill!). Friendly neighborhood, about 10 minutes from highway 215 and Mountain View. If you do have a cat, they would need to stay downstairs as our cat is FIV positive (feline herpes) and is not friendly with other cats. If they are not a registered service animal (ESA or otherwise), there will be an additional pet rent.

Me (23, nonbinary) and my partner Rio (22, nonbinary) have been living here for the past 2 years with our cat Calypso and a rotating cast of parrots. We are huge nerds and host game nights every week as well as run several D&D games on the weekends. I work in AV tech downtown, running many events for the Hyatt Regency. I am usually out the door around 6-7 AM, and sometimes will return late. Rio helps to maintain and clean some Airbnb properties and typically only works midday. We’re both very easy going and tidy. Our policy is that if you make a mess within the shared space, just have it cleaned up within 2 days and we won’t have any issues. We aren’t nosy, but do please keep your space maintained enough that it doesn’t become a problem to the infrastructure/rest of the house (bugs, mold, stains, etc won’t fly, but we don’t care about clothes left on the ground). The only things we really require is that you stay on top of rent, help maintain shared spaces such as the kitchen and the yards, and if you have any problems with the way things are going you TALK TO US. We have had issues in the past of roommates being upset over something but not mentioning it until they were so angry it wasn’t healthy. We do not tolerate yelling in anger EVER. Any disputes need to be handled like adults with calm and reasonable conversation.
