About the room
Hello all! Weβre looking for a third housemate for our 3bd/2ba Normal Heights mansion (ok, house). We are looking for someone who can stay from mid-August/early September through December 31, with the option to stay in the house longer if you want (although you may need to find new housemates).
Now, the interesting details:
π House Specs: This is a large & beautiful home (~1100 sq ft) with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, backyard, side yard, front yard, lots of storage, and plenty of common space (dining room, office area, living room, kitchen). We have a dishwasher, washer+dryer, and gas/charcoal grills. The common & outdoor spaces are fully furnished. We share the upstairs bathroom (which is where bedrooms are; there is a second bathroom on the ground floor). Itβs a v nice space!!
π° Pricing & Logistics. Rent for the room will be $1470, with another ~$40 a month for utilities (we have solar, so electricity tends to be low). You will need to pass a credit check & provide one monthβs rent up front as a security deposit.
π Room Specs: The available room is large & gets plenty of natural light. The room can be rented furnished with a queen bed, 2 bedside tables, desk, and a bookshelf. If you prefer to bring your own furniture, that could probably be arranged too.
π Location: We are in the Normal Heights neighborhood in San Diego. It is residential enough to be (relatively) quiet and pleasant to walk around, while also being a short walk to cafes, bars, & restaurants on Adams Ave. Within a 15-20 min walk, you can get to University Ave / 30th St areas in North Park, as well as Kensington. With proximity to the 805, 15, and 8, it makes for short commutes to most of San Diego. Itβs about a 20 minute drive to campus, and we often carpool.
π YOU:
- Clean, responsible, cool, fun
- Grad student/postdoc or professional preferred
- LGBTQ+ friendly
- All genders welcome
- No pets
- No couples
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send me a message! Canβt wait to connect. Also feel free to reach out with any questions you have.
