About the room
Hi, yβall! I own and live in a 3 bed, 1 bath, 1,055 sq ft home in the Windsor Drive area of Tuscaloosa (> 10-minute drive to UA campus). The current renter is looking to break the lease and I am in search of someone to take over the rest of the current lease (March 1, 2024 - July 31, 2024) with the potential to renew the year-long lease starting August 1, 2024.
The available room is unfurnished but can come with a full-size bed if necessary. The house has lots of windows and natural light, and common areas include a kitchen, dining area, living room, and a large corner lot yard with a gazebo. The smallest bedroom acts as my office/guest room, so the bathroom is only shared between the two of us.
The house comes with a resident mascot: Skye, my 4yr old Catahoula mix. Sheβs reactive, so I sadly cannot allow any other (free-roaming) pets in the house (tank pets would be fine as long as we discuss it!) π Please let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to share more info/pictures of the house!
About the roomies
Hey yβall! My name is Carson and I am a 1st year Doctoral student in the Psychology Department at UA! I own a 3-bedroom house about 10 minutes from campus and I am looking to find a person to rent one of the bedrooms. I am from Mississippi and studied Psychology at Ole Miss. For the previous 2 years, I had been living and working as a Research Assistant in Rochester, NY.
I am a Queer woman of color, so Queer dears and allies please apply! I am a very neat and tidy person and would appreciate living with someone who is the same. I am pretty social and would enjoy living with someone I can be friends with (or at minimum be friendly with) and do things (i.e., shopping/grocery trips, having dinner, get-togethers with friends, etc.) with, in and out of the house! A dog/pet person is also a plus as my pup is super human attached and would love to be able to hang out with you if youβre home and I am not (absolutely not a requirement though!!!) :)
Please feel free to ask any more questions about me! I would love to find a pal I can live well with!
