Natalie - shared home in Fairfax's room

A slice of paradise in Fairfax - Community Living Opportunity. We have a small room opening up in our community Sept 1 - get it while it’s hot! It’s in the 4000sq ft community house. We share a kitchen, dining room, entry way, crafts space, guest room and living room.

This gorgeous 14x15 room (including two closets) is located on the ground level of our large spacious home. It has large windows and lots of light. It is next to a shared bathroom, (but you are the one who gets to put your things in the drawers and who usually uses the shower). Gorgeous view from the room.

The home has a pool (semi-open to locals), sauna, great Wi-Fi, garden, basketball court, and…so much amazing grace! We have “community-lite” commitments: weekly dinners, weekly house meetings, light processing if needed and quarterly fun work parties to bring more of ourselves into our home. There are two other homes of friends on the property which makes it a sweet community.

You: An honest and open communicator, someone who can tolerate messy mayhem on occasion and someone with community living experience. YOU MUST LOVE CHILDREN…or this house will just rub you the wrong way with 6 and 8 yr old girls running around (though they both will be in school most days). It’s a lot to live with young children, so bonus if you enjoy bonding with them and have experience with that. Extra bonus if you like to garden and will do some manual labor with Yuba (his fav way to bond). No additional house pets at this time.

We are on the top of Deer Park in Fairfax, and next to miles of wilderness preserve…and a 12 min walk to town!

Rent $1250/mo plus $100/mo for cleaning.
