This is for a huge bedroom + WIC in a whole three floor brownstone. One of the pictures has the floor plan, this is for bedroom #4. It’s beyond massive, and the whole house is just stunning! It’s a four bed + 3 bath, plus back patio. The whole first floor is an open floor plan with kitchen + dining area + living room (including a fire place!)

The ‘sitting room’ on the top floor could serve a variety of purposes. It’s the size of a regular bedroom but can only be accessed by bedroom 3 and 4. It could be a guest room for the house, could be a TV room, a home gym, OR this bedroom could claim it as their office (and pay slightly more rent if so).

We don’t yet live in the house, so all furniture will be different! We already have a fantastic dining room table and chairs + a great leather couch, so if you don’t have furniture to add that’s great and if you do it’ll probably fit in.

The vision for this house is that it be a strong community of people who value the friendships that can come from living together. We have 2-3 of the rooms accounted for with 1 woman and 1-2 men so far, so any gender is welcome. This post is for bedroom #3 on the floorplan. Ideally looking for people who care about building a good community (and who want to live in a group home not for the cheaper rent but because they enjoy living with others), who are doing interesting things in new york, and who communicate well. Bonus points if you’ve lived abroad or are international.

This is to join an August 1 lease. One month broker fee applies.

About Adriel (me): I just finished grad school (MBA + MA international studies focused on latam), where I was president of the energy&climate club, so that’s my biggest focus! I am in New York because grad school convinced me investment banking was an optimal way for me to become more effective in fighting climate change - but we’ll see how this plays out. In my free time, dinner parties are my absolute favorite, and I love salsa dancing and rock climbing. I’m 28, originally from Charlottesville VA.

About Gabe: About me: I’m a software engineer at Google with a soft spot for history and literature. Having lived in a Manhattan shoebox until recently, I’m excited to pick up cooking again and take advantage of the nearby climbing gym! In my free time, I like visiting museums, playing board games with friends, and going on road trips to less-traveled parts of the country. Age 29.
