About the room
Bright room with morning sun $1385 per month
The house is close to public transportation, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and Golden Gate Park. Fifteen minutes by streetcar to downtown, 30 minutes to the beach. Located at Clayton and Parnassus, it is a 10 minute walk to the UCSF Parnassus Campus. USF is a short distance across the park.
Available August 1, this large non-smoking home is shared with five others. Currently we are a trainee teacher, someone in IT, a remote coach/personal trainer, and digital artist working in events production. The owner also lives in the house.
The room is large (about 270 sq ft) and accommodates a double bed, bookshelf, desk, easy chair, and has a very large walk-in closet. All tenants have their own shelves in the kitchen and bathroom, but otherwise, no storage space is available, except for bikes in the basement.
Weβre looking for someone who is mature (closer to 30 than 20), responsible, friendly, neat, and considerate. We keep noise to a minimum; watch movies and listen to music with headphones, etc. You must be animal friendly as we have a small dog.
We occasionally socialize together, but respect each otherβs privacy. Everyone has lives outside the house.
We divide household chores like cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, vacuuming and taking out the trash. In the new year we will go back to having cleaners come once a month or once every two months as needed. We are environmentally conscious, compost, and recycle.
The house has lots to offer: kitchen is fully stocked but no dishwasher; there are two large common rooms, washer & dryer, Wi-Fi (but no cable TV), solar panels.
The house is close to the N-Judah, 6 Parnassus, 43 Masonic, 7 Haight 33 Ashbury, and 37 Corbett lines.
The lease is a month-to-month agreement (three-month minimum), with one-month-rent security as deposit. We share utilities: water, trash, PG&E, averages around $100 per month. Cleaner may increase average.
