About the house: We have a private room for rent in our 3 bedroom ranch house in the peaceful, green neighborhood to the right of the Washtenaw golf club. The room is $700 utilities included. Beautiful mature trees surround the property and the neighbors are quiet and friendly. The room is 11’x9’ and would be plenty of space for a twin bed and a desk. It’s a 15 minute drive to UM north campus, 20 min to central campus, 6 min to Eastern, 7 minutes to WCC. Drive and bikeable, but a quiet, off-campus neighborhood.

About Us: We are two friendly artists raising a playful and active four year old girl. We work from our basement ceramic studio most of the time and teach at several local studios. We have been married 10 years and are a happy, no-drama couple. We are foodies and love to have friends over for dinner, playing board games, going on bike rides and traveling. Our daughter is in school during the day while we are working and goes to bed on the early side, so evenings are relatively quiet though we do sometimes host a board game night. We are about a 7/10 on cleanliness, life with a kid gets messy but we prefer things clean.

About you: The right fit for us will be a single person who would enjoy the homey vibe of living with a family, sharing meals with us at least a few days a week as schedule allows. Since we will be sharing food, adventurous eaters preferred, and we would love it if you cooked at least one meal a week as well. Respectful, pro-active communication helps a lot! Please no pets as we are allergic. No smoking of anything, no recreational drugs and low drinking- this is a family home.
