Looking for a roommate! 2Br 1Bath apartment in Cheesman Park under $1000, 12-month lease starting August 6; I’m 25 and looking for someone around the same age, 22-28ish all gender identities welcome

This will be my 3rd time re-signing on this apartment! I love the foliage right outside the windows and Cheesman Park literally right across the street.

• Rent is $1685/month which has been $900-$920 this year including utilities (and $30 each for Wifi, which I auto-pay).
• Apartment ~ 590 sq ft total with balcony on 2nd floor
• Laundry in the building, not unit ($1.25 wash, $0.75 dry)
• You can pay extra per month for a parking spot or storage unit
• The building was put up in the 60s, its been renovated, but the roof is one of my favorite parts for reasons I can go into beyond the awe-inspiring view

• In the past two years I’ve been exploring connections between thought patterns in OCD, coercive control, and authoritarian psychology / structures. I’m neuroqueer and accidentally anarchist but you wouldn’t know unless you were interested in how I got there. I have spreadsheets and sources up the wazoo that I’m trying to weave together into a podcast on community organizing and communication justice.
• - I love grabbing beers at Wymans on the next block; $2 Tuesdays baby! And ice cream next door to that, and whatever really. Wanna have people over? Fabulous. Wanna chill at the park? Up to you! Don’t want me to invite you to things? Heck yeah respect.
• Since coming here, I’ve been a litigation paralegal who planned on law school, a gardener for a small local business coordinating children’s academic competitions on the side, and then most recently a math teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School.
• Intellectually nourished by audiobooks, journalism, podcasts, research, plants, writing, music, and relationships with my two closest friends, Lemon and Tagg.
• Lemon and Tagg are fancy rats who reside in an accessory dwelling unit in my bedroom (one might call it a “cage”). They’re impeccably clean and sweet gentlemen but some people do harbor rat stigma. They’ve loved my last two roommates but you never have to see them if you don’t want <3
• Queer with a heteronormative boyfriend disclaimer but hes just lovely!
