I’ve got a cozy little cottage in a quiet neighborhood in Gardena with one more room coming available Sept 1st. The rent is $1,000/mo + 1/3-utilities (Electric, Water, Gas, Household Supplies & Trash. Internet is currently included FREE) $1,000 deposit. I have a smallish dog (15lbs) and would be open to one other small to medium size dog in the house.

The entire house is approximately 983 square feet. Originally a 2br/1ba, the single car garage has been converted into a 3rd bedroom which is the room I occupy. The room that’s going to be available is about 10’10“x13’10“. The house is in a cozy little dog friendly neighborhood, with relatively easy street parking.

While the house itself is small, there is a relatively large front and back yard which are both being upgraded in the next couple months. TBH, the outside of the house is pretty shabby right now but we hope to have new landscaping both front and back before the fall. (I’m doing most of the work myself)

Some of the amenities include:

• Smart lock on the front door (Key, Code & App)
• Bio-metric/PIN Code smart locks on each of the bedroom doors (Fingerprint, Code & App)
• Smart lights in each of the bedrooms, the bathroom and living room.
• Bidet toilet in the bathroom
• Mesh Wifi network
• New refrigerator

Other generally cool things about the neighborhood

• Easy street parking
• Walking distance to 3 grocery stores, and other dining/shopping
• Quick 20min drive to Rendondo or Manhattan Beach
• Easy access to the 91 - 110 & 405 Fwys
• 6 minute drive to El Camino College

I work in the entertainment industry so I tend to work long hours. When not at work I’ll likely be spending a lot of time at my workshop which is in the building next door. I enjoy movies and board games and cooking in general and will on occasion have a couple people over but I’m NOT into big raging parties. I am looking to purchase an RV in a few months so hopefully that also means a bit more camping/short road trips for me in the future. I have a dog who’s a 15lb chihuahua mix. He can be a little shy at first but once he warms up he can be very loving a cuddly. He’s well trained even though I do spoil him sometimes.

The second roomie just moved in. She is a preschool teacher’s aide and part time student. She’s tidy and easy to get along with.

The ideal roommates would be either students, other entertainment industry types or some other working professionals. I don’t need you to be a clean freak but it would be nice if you keep a tidy place and are respectful of other people’s things. Open to 1 other small or medium sized dog but we should do a meet and greet to see how the pups get along. An additional $500 deposit would be required for a pet but I think pet rent is bogus so no additional monthly rent would be necessary.
