About the room
Hey everyone!!! I’ve got a beautiful sunny room available in a shared LGBQT rowhome in Point Breeze. The house was refurbished in the last ten years and is in great shape. The house has a huge (for South Philly) backyard, central air, washer, dry, and dishwasher. The living room is furnished, but I’m always looking for more furniture to make the house feel more like a home. Lastly, there is a huge unfinished basement that my roommate and I use for storage.
The house is a few blocks away from the Ellsworth/Federal station on the BSL. Sprouts and a Target are nearby, and if you have a car or bike the East Passyunk Acme is a short drive away. There are also plenty of corner stores in the neighborhood. There are plenty of great take-out in the area and American Sardine Bar is literally around the corner. If you have a car, the parking is not terrible for South Philly.
I’m looking to fill the room for the month of August, but it is available. The rent is $625 a month plus utilities. To move in you need to pay the first month’s rent and a $400 security deposit.
About the roomies
About me: My name is Don (he/him). I’m a 34-year-old professional who works for the city. I identify as queer, so HOMOPHOBIA AND TRANSPHOBIA ARE NOT TOLERATED HERE! I just moved in on July 1st, hence the boxes in some of the pictures. In my spare time I like listening to music and podcasts, tend to my plants, bike, and cook. I’m looking for someone who wants to create a communal living space with me, though solitary people are welcome. I like to keep the shared spaces clean and definitely want someone who will help me with chores around the house.
The other person who lives here is named Christopher (he/him). He is 42 and is a queer professional too. He is super friendly and is good at handy work around the house. He has lived here for over a year and also wants someone who will help us take care of the house.
If you message, please tell me about yourself and what you look for in a communal living space.
