About the room
(Up top, we’ve filled everything else, and now have shared spots: 2-3 for women) (You must be 21+)(No pets– we have a dog) Howdy! Our house (The Ship) has been running as a community house for the last 13 years. Typically, this means we have 7-9 people living here, kind of family style– socially integrated and cooperative (but with no particular philosophy other than having a good living situation). The Ship was founded as an antidote to the loneliness and isolation that was (is) so common in LA! We have 3 spots available. We’re looking for two or three women to share a couple of rooms. That’s $650 a person, plus utilities. The area is an historic neighborhood (safe, quiet, somewhat walkable: Food4Less, Starbucks, Fast Food, too) you’d never know was here. We’re close to the 10 and not far from downtown, USC (far enough, though), K-Town, etc. Outside morning rush, Santa Monica in twelve to fifteen minutes.
About the roomies
Right now, we’re a rapidly (re)growing crew! But who lives here really changes the experience and it’s never the same for long. Also note: We’re not accepting other animals. We have an old dog here. She’s 12. And lazy. Mostly, people are quiet and respectful (it’s the law)– historically. We definitely hang out together a bit and do stuff. We’re not looking for a “tenant”; we’re looking for a Shipmate! If you’re looking for things like private entrance or private bathroom, we are not the place for you! If you like coming home to friends/family, then get in touch! Mention the word “ahoy” so I know that you read the ad. You’d be amazed how many people don’t bother to read the ad. 🙄
