Diana's room

Looking for someone to share a two-bed one-bath downstairs unit in a fourplex. The neighborhood is working-class but generally quiet; there is a park nearby and two grocery stores within walking distance. The building is old but in decent condition overall. There is space for parking at the rear of the building. The unit has a washing machine and heating, but does not have a dishwasher or air conditioning. The building does not allow pets or smoking.

The bedroom in question and has a standard closet with doors. The window is on the south side which means lots of light for plants.

Rent is 975 monthly, which divided between us would be roughly 490 each. We also pay utilities for internet, power, and gas, which total roughly $50 for each of us. The landlord is an older local man, and this is the only building he owns, so there is no corporate landlord nonsense to contend with. He is quick to respond to maintenance requests, and while it’s not in writing, he has verbally told me that he has no plans to raise rent in the future.

I am 29f and work at a library. I’m also very slowly working through classes at university. My hobbies include reading, casually backpacking, video and tabletop games, and HEMA swordfighting. I volunteer for a local SF&F event and love literary discussion.

I am queer and married; however, my partner lives overseas and is not a regular resident of this apartment. I hope to have her over for a few months some time in the coming year, but nothing is currently planned.

I value honesty and communication in a housemate. I would prefer to have no alcohol or guns in the unit due to previous experiences.
