Iowa Street

This is a two story 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse that’s only a couple minutes from the SOU campus. We have AC/heating, in-unit washer & dryer, and a dishwasher. The room available is one of the upstairs bedrooms, which does have a closet! You would be sharing the upstairs bathroom with one other person. This bathroom has a shower-tub combo. Downstairs there is a shared kitchen and living room space, as well as a small patio out back! We also have a garage you can use to store additional items and could be available parking.

Rent currently is $658.35 per person a month, with utilities costing about another $70 to 100 per person depending on usage (for example the water/electric bill can vary a little). In October there will be a $30 rent increase per person so the new rate would be $688.35. Rent is billed on the 1st of the month but due by the 4th.

Abby (they/them) is 22 years old and recently graduated from SOU with a degree in Environmental Science. They live in the downstairs bedroom. Abby currently works in a restaurant. Chase (he/him) is 23 years old and graduated from SOU last year with a degree in Emerging Media and Digital Arts. He lives in the upstairs bedroom and you would be sharing the bathroom up there with him. Chase currently works for the Jackson County Library system.

We enjoy playing games (video games or card/board games!), as well as picnics & walks. We are night owls and tend to stay up later. The only pets in the house at this time is Abby’s pet snake, who is kept in a secure tank in their room, but we would be open to other pets!

Socially, we would be okay with someone who would like to be friends or okay with someone who would prefer to keep to themselves. Either is fine in our book as long as we’re all on the same page!

We are okay with drinking. If you do smoke (cigarettes or weed) that’s okay but we’d prefer if you could do it on the back patio so the smell isn’t in the house or any smoke damage ends up on the walls.

An LGBT+ roommate is preferred. At the very least you need to be an ally since both of us are part of the community and would like our home to remain a safe space.

We share a lot of things in this house such as pots/pans and the television - however we respect when items are only meant for your use! We are open to communication and willing to set boundaries as needed in all parts of living here.
