About the room
I’m looking for a female student or other quiet woman to rent my spare attic room. It’s large (12’ x 18’), sunny, with windows at each end, a skylight in the middle, two small closets, furniture (single bed, nightstand, lamps, dresser, desk, bookcase, futon), linens, and lots of character. It also has its own AIR CONDITIONER and HEATER. It also has a pleasant yard for rest and relaxation.
The bathroom is located right at the foot of the stairs to the attic room.
UTILITIES - These are included in the rent.
NEIGHBORHOOD - Great – friendly, with ample street parking, near buses # 12, 24, 70, 75, 77, and Hollywood MAX. Walking distance to Whole Foods, New Seasons, Trader Joe’s, restaurants, library, banks, pharmacy, and Hollywood Movie Theater (but far enough away to avoid noise and congestion).
About the roomies
ABOUT ME - I work with students in the Portland schools and am especially interested in politics. In my spare time, I make rally signs for groups addressing issues of social injustice and then often join the rallies. At home, I’m very quiet and hope to find another quiet woman.
NOT WANTED – No illegal drugs, no smoking inside the house, no incense or candles, no drunkenness, no overnight guests (except possibly for out-of-town friends or family members), and no pets.
TERMS – Month-month. There is a one-time $100 cleaning deposit when moving in, and this fee is fully refundable when moving out and the room is left clean and “move in” ready. The $100 security deposit is also fully refundable if the rent has been paid in full and there is no damage.
MOVE-IN COST - $1475: $850 (first month’s rent) + $425 (1/2 last month’s rent), + $100 (one-time cleaning deposit) + $100 security deposit = $1475.
VACCINATIONS – I still take the Covid threat seriously. Consequently…I hope to find someone who also believes in vaccinations.
AVAILABILITY – Room is available now. If this might look good to you, let me know, and tell me about yourself - your studies or work - where and what.
