Hi! I’m Jillian. I am looking for a good fit roommate for a room in my 3/2.5 home. Rent includes professional housekeeping once a month. (Would consider a discounted rent for a roommate willing to do more housekeeping) Utilities will be a flat rate each month, so they will be predictable. The room has a large closet and view of the mountains from the window. There is a hallway bathroom for my roommate’s use only that I won’t use, as I have my own. I have a large yard and beautiful outdoor patio area on the top of the hill in Upper Seaside. Quick access to General Jim Moore Blvd, 10 mins to Monterey, 15 mins to Pacific Grove, 10 mins to Marina, and <20 mins to Downtown Carmel. Quiet street with trees and great view. Long walking/biking trail across the street, very close to Fort Ord Monument Park. Qualities I’m looking for in a roommate:

• Sorry, no federally illegal drugs (incl. cannabis)
• Non-smoker
• For safety reasons, no strangers are allowed in the house, overnight guests (family, friends, etc) can be discussed
• Must like dogs, I have a one year old dog (lab mix) and while I try to keep the house very clean, there will be some dog hair between vacuuming. He is generally quiet, with the occasional bark and squeaky toy, and crate-trained. He currently goes to daycare while I’m at work so he’s not home for 8-9 hours a day. I will consider well-trained dogs on a case-by-case basis, but absolutely no cats or other animals.
• Someone who is clean, considerate, and maintains a clean space.

• 3 bedroom/2.5 bath, 1700 sq ft

• Indoor garage
• Indoor Laundry (no coins required!)
• Range/dishwasher/microwave/garbage disposal
• Central heat, no central air
• Wood burning fireplace in large living room
• Large kitchen and dining area
• Great views from the top of the hill in Seaside
• Quiet residential street
• Driveway/ample street parking/corner lot
• Popular walking/biking trail right behind house with doggie stations
• Quick access to whole MB area is General Jim Moore Blvd -Fully furnished common spaces

About the room:

• one bedroom, two windows (facing south and east)
• Opposite side of Second floor from my bedroom
• Private hallway bathroom with window in shower with view of Santa Cruz in the distance
• Wood floors and blinds
• Solid wood door with privacy lock
• All other spaces in the house except my bedroom and bathroom are communal -Utilities are a flat $300/mo and include all of the following: electric/gas/water/sewer/garbage/Wi-Fi/security system/pest control - PREFER: 6-10 month lease, will consider something longer/shorter on case-by-case basis
• Room is furnished with bed frame & mattress (queen).

The room is $1700/mo + utilities, fully refundable deposit required ($1700), pet deposit considered on case-by-case basis

About me: I am in my mid-thirties, working full-time, married but my husband doesn’t live with me (though he visits occasionally). I am part introverted and part extroverted. I appreciate quiet time, but can still have a good conversation. I am constantly busy with schoolwork for my job and spend most days doing work, cleaning up the house, and training my puppy. I don’t have a TV, but don’t mind if a roommate brings a tv to keep in their room. I have a room dedicated to workouts in the house with a bench and dumbbells/barbells. I enjoy plants and home projects. I am absolutely drug-free, seldom drink, and cannot stand the smell of cigarettes. I mind my own business most of the time. I do play podcasts and music occasionally, but would do so in a respectful manner if I had a roommate. No drama. I enjoy traveling, working out, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Willing to forego renting the room out until I find the right fit. I prefer to keep the house around 68 degrees during the cooler months.
