About the room
The bedroom is very big, and has it’s own bathroom and walk-in closet which are just as big. There’s another bathroom in the corridor as well. Though the bedroom itself isn’t furnished, the entire unit is. The living room has a tv, couch, carpet and coffee table, the dining section is furnished as well and there are daily-use kitchen utensils in the kitchen like a microwave, coffee maker, blenders, bowls, plates, cups etc. There are also cleaning utensils, a washer and dryer in the unit, an outdoor balcony with chairs and a table and tons of parking space right in front of the apartment. All appliances in the unit are perfectly functional and in excellent condition. Furthermore, the unit is super accessible to people with disabilities. Basically, all you’d really need to move in is a bed. The condominium complex itself too is very very clean and welcoming. Management is polite & professional and they take complaints/maintenance requests very seriously. Also, the neighbors as well are lovely. What’s more, the condominium is in the middle of everything. Grocery stores, corner stores, general shopping, dentists, a family medicine practice, banks, laundromats, a gym, TONS of restaurants, pharmacies, the library, car repair shops, bus stops, the train, a park, hell even an immigration field office are all walking distance away. I would not leave this unit if I had a choice: alas I don’t and therein lies your opportunity.
About the roomies
I’m leaving for school in August so I’m looking for someone to take over my lease till October and/or beyond if they so desire. My current roommate is an angel - he mostly keeps to himself but he checks up on me regularly and loves a good conversation! He’s also very clean and doesn’t make a fuss about pets or any personal predilections you might have reservations in sharing (sexual, behavioral etc). If there was a best roommate competition, this guy would win it, seriously. As for the landlady, she is as firm as she is understanding and compassionate. If you have any concerns about something not going well in the unit, she moves mountains to rectify the situation right away.
