Ideal for a bi-coastal or out-of-town industry professional who needs a modest, affordable and stable foothold available anytime in Hollywood for comfortable overnight stays a few days or a couple of weeks each month. Corner, 5th-floor (top story) apartment in modern, clean and well-maintained building. The room is compact (11’ x 10’) but very high ceilings and full-length floor-to-ceiling corner windows make it feel more spacious, with a dynamic view overlooking Hollywood Boulevard. The room is furnished, but furnishings may be moved or swapped to suit the occupant.

The parking garage is safe & secure, gated and underground, with two tandem parking spaces, so one car is usually blocking the other (if a neighboring car is gone I can usually squeeze out from the rear space).

A cell-phone operated laundry is just across the hallway, and trash disposal room very near as well. Two elevators serve the upper floors. A comfortable roof deck with barbecue grill, table seating and a view of the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Observatory is open and spacious.

The neighborhood is lively, walkable, urban and diverse architecturally and demographically, on the perimeter of Thai Town with many affordable, authentic late-night Thai restaurants nearby. A fine Mediterranean restaurant is half a block away. Shopping, dining and other services are readily walkable. Upscale supermarkets are easily walking distance and a neighborhood bodega market is just across the street from the lobby entrance. Griffith Park and the American Film Institute campus are just a few minutes’ walk. The former Red Line, now B-Line Metro subway stop is a short city block away, 15 mins. to downtown LA, 5 to Hollywood and 20 mins. to North Hollywood.

There are two primary downsides: 1) there is only one bathroom, which is fairly spacious because the apartments in the building are disability-friendly (though I am not disabled), and 2) there is traffic and street noise from Hollywood Blvd. below, which I am accustomed to, but it may bother others.

Absolutely no smoking in the building, and no pets can be accommodated. 420-friendly — but not in the building. No overnight guests are permitted.

I am mostly retired, live alone and am very quiet. Interests are photography and films. I travel abroad several times a year. Politically engaged (left-wing; no tolerance for Trumpistas). Interested in ideas, art and informed people.
