About the room

I’m currently looking for a roommate who shares my commitment to a plant-based diet. The available room is approximately 300 sq ft and comes with a spacious walk-in closet. It’s furnished with a comfortable queen-size bed, and in the loft area, there’s a futon, couch, and TV for your enjoyment. The kitchen is well-equipped with various gadgets and utensils for cooking.

The house is a three-story, 3850 sq ft property. There is one shared shower in the downstairs master bedroom, along with a half bathroom that will primarily be for your use.

A little about me: I’m a male who works from home in the non-profit sector and follows a strictly plant-based lifestyle. Please note that there are no animal products allowed in the house. I have a female cat, and the overall atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The neighborhood is safe and has very few crime or safety issues. It’s just a 5-minute commute to downtown Spokane. Keep in mind that a car is necessary as there is no public transit in the area.

The rent for the room is $650 per month, plus half of the utilities.

Here are some details about the utilities: Your share typically ranges between $135 in the summer and $220 in the winter. This includes sewer, garbage, green can (recycling), heating, and Comcast High-Speed Internet.

Smoking is not permitted in the house.

I’ve attached photos from my previous roommate to give you an idea of how the room can be arranged. Currently, the room is empty except for a bed, mini fridge, and futon.

The move-in costs consist of the first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and a $600 deposit. If necessary, we can arrange for the deposit to be paid over the first few months.

Unfortunately, due to compatibility issues with my cat, dogs are not allowed. However, I’m open to considering one additional cat if it’s a good fit for both of us.

If you’re interested or have any questions, please email me with the details. Feel free to share a bit about yourself, including your hobbies, workplace, and how long you’ve been following a plant-based lifestyle or if you’re plant-curious (not yet vegan or vegetarian).

I want to emphasize that I am LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome individuals from all backgrounds.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

About the roomies

I am an advocate for plant-based living and have dedicated over a decade to supporting nonprofit organizations. My focus lies in areas such as environmental causes, drug and alcohol recovery, homelessness, and various community support initiatives. When I’m not engaged in my nonprofit work, I enjoy organizing community events, skate, painting, juggling, and playing music.
