About the room

if you’re looking for a place to stay that’s remarkably well priced, centrally located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood between Georgetown and American university I have an unbelievable listing for you. In this era where rents just keep rising something ridiculous, housing at these prices seems almost too good to be true; I’ve lived at the house the last 6 years and it’s been a lifesaver - it’s not too often you find more than decent housing in the city for less than $1000/mo

I have a couple of roommates who are students or just graduated that would like to get out of their lease a month early (two of them have job offers post grad another wants to go off on their dream backpacking trip that sort of deal) so we’re looking for someone that wants to take over the last month of the current lease (July) and sign back on for next year starting August 1st

I’ll attach some pictures of the place it’s really nice

Amenities include:

-Glover Park itself, the neighborhood is the best it’s walkable with several restaurants, a couple of bars, a Whole Foods and CVS as well as the gym I go to all within a five to ten minute walk -Split utilities, utilities ranging from electric gas water and internet when split amongst the tenants are never more than $100 a month - some months considerably less -Historic house recently restored, landlord put a fresh paint job down on everything and we recently got a new washer and dryer (within the last two years) -Front yard and a backyard with a driveway that’s available for parking with tons of accessible street parking -proximity, we’re probably 7 or 8 minutes from the Georgetown waterfront and 15 minutes from the national mall and all the Smithsonian institutions

About you (ideally):

Looking for full time professionals and/or students - two of the people we’ll be replacing either just finished or are continuing with their graduate education while another worked full time in litigation and it’s provided a nice balance. While you’re more than welcome to have people over and generally relax (it is gonna be your home after all) we’re looking for those than can be respectful of others, who are fiscally responsible and who have full lives they like to lead. Priority will be given to those that seem responsible and well rounded but open to all types of lifestyles. If you’re the exception to this guideline we’d still love to hear from you, I’ve always found those that have an ability to be respectful while advocating for themselves to be some of the best people to live with.

Rooms will be available for viewing as soon as this Monday 6/19 and I think the application for the rooms are around $30 (we’ve recently had a property management group take over the management of the house so the vetting will be ran through them but they’re pretty decent as far as property managers go)

THE BEST PART: THE PRICE

Alright if you’ve made it down this far I’m very excited to share with you the best part of this whole deal - while the house is really nice thanks meticulous effort over a couple of years (it wasn’t that nice when I moved in 😂 but through sheer force of will we’ve made it pretty awesome) the absolute best thing about this housing is the affordability

All the rooms available will be priced $1000 or less depending on their desirability and I’ll be able to explain more on the pricing of each room when you come by to check them out - there will be two rooms available on the top floor and one room available in the basement (the basement room will have its own restroom and private entrance which kind of makes up for the fact that it’s in the basement, the other two upstairs room share the guest bathroom but provide a little more privacy since they’re tucked away on the top floor)

Again I want to emphasize

HOUSING IN DC IN A NICE NW NEIGHBORHOOD FOR LESS THAN $1000/mo - it really does not get much better.

property will be available for viewing as soon as monday 6/19 but feel free to get in touch and i’m happy to send you over some pictures of the property or a link to the craigslist ad featuring pictures of the place

Hope to hear from you soon! Your new home is waiting for you

About the roomies

About me:

My name is Ramon and I work full time as an event and marketing coordinator for a construction company - more recently I’ve started moonlighting as a tour guide four or five days a week so you’re always welcome to use me as a resource if you’re looking for something fun to get into around town. I turned 30 back in April and I’ve recently recommitted myself to my health journey so if you’re into working out the more the merrier, if you’re not I’ll have you know I secured a library card to the library of congress just this year - best place to deep dive into some knowledge or casual reading and I’d be happy to join you there from time to time
