Lucy's room

We have a large 3 room space available to rent in an original 1890s farmhouse in Midtown Petaluma, and we are hoping to find someone who is looking to join our little community!

Your space would be the entire upstairs of the house, about 500 square feet. There’s a large open “living room” or office-type space with a tall vaulted ceiling and windows on 3 sides. It is connected by stairs to our communal living room. Next there is a tiny bedroom with a slightly lower-than average ceiling. The area under the window is the perfect size for a queen bed if you choose to put it there. We’ve included a photo of the bedroom without and with furniture. There’s also a private bathroom with tub and over-tub shower. Lastly at the back is a finished attic space that is mainly a good storage room. There’s a washer/dryer in the downstairs area. Utilities are all included.

We try to keep communal areas fairly tidy, and we do have a cleaning person come once a month to clean the living room and kitchen areas (you can pay extra to have her do your area too if you want that).

Location-wise we’re in Midtown which is a short walking distance to town, grocery stores, and the train.

Please note: While we really love cats, we have some bad cat allergies in the house so are sadly not accepting cats.

The rest of the house consists of a woman in her mid-twenties, a couple in their late 30s who own the house, and a small hypoallergenic dog (and we are potentially open to another non-shedding dog). The property also has a separate granny flat on it and the couple that lives there often come hang out.

We sometimes will watch tv shows or just cook and chat together. Our house also hosts weekly low-key gatherings of a few local friends, or bbqs, etc.
