I’m renting out a private room and bathroom in my recently renovated home in beautiful Lakewood (middle of Long Beach). I’m in a great neighborhood and have all the conveniences you could want, since my home is wired up with aaaaaall the smart home stuff and solar/ev hookups! lol The rent won’t change, and utilities are included! Walkability: It’s very walkable! The house is located across the street from a nice park and two blocks from the Lakewood Mall, which has just about everything you could need, including a Target and Costco. There are at least 4 grocery stores within walking distance alone!

Local Flavor: There are two farmer’s markets nearby every week, one at the Lakewood mall and one at the Lakewood community center/city hall. And if you’re a foodie, there are a ton of unique restaurants at the nearby 2nd Street in Long Beach and along the way there, including an amazing Peruvian Japanese fusion restaurant that serves sushi good enough to rival Sugarfish! There’s also a local theatre that regularly puts on Shakespearean and original plays. They’re really good!

I have one well-trained, medium-sized rescue dog—a german shepherd mix—who’s a total sweetie, so it’s important that you are comfortable with dogs. And I have a -year-old rescue cat who loves to cuddle once she feels safe with you.

I’m a nerdy literature major who lives a pretty quiet life reading, playing video games, bowling, sometimes hiking, running, sewing, crafting, going to Universal Studios, and occasionally attending local plays. I turned my degree from Cal Poly Pomona into a career in writing, working as a copy editor for a big video game company. So I get to write interesting stories all day! I work from home about three days a week, which my dog, Janeway, appreciates. I occasionally host a board game day or Dungeons and Dragons gathering with a couple of friends on the weekend, or I maybe have a friend over for a girls’ night. Overall, I’m a pretty quiet, clean, LGBTQ+ friendly roommate, and I’m hoping to find the same.
