Quiet neighborhood, great neighbors, garden sanctuary, shared with one very nice person and two groovy cats. Close to Downtown Oakland, Target, Ikea, Trader Joes and more! Five Blocks from the West Oakland BART and right off the first/last entrance to the Bay Bridge There is ample street parking right in front of the house.

Your DOUBLE SIZED room is on the second floor and is 13’x15’ with a 9’x9’ additional space (276 sq ft). This spacious room spans the width of the house and is large enough for a full bedroom and lounge area/art studio/office, you name it! It has gorgeous wood floors and four extra large, sunny, west facing windows (with blackout curtains for the mornings!), a large closet with shelving, and a freestanding armoire as a second closet.

Full bathroom is shared and there’s a half bathroom on the first floor. Garage for storage. Laundry room with washer, dryer, and a laundry sink.

The house is colorful and eclectically decorated with art from all over the world. The cozy living room has plenty of places to curl up and watch TV or listen to records. The large dining room is perfect for dinner parties and the kitchen is equipped for everything a home chef could want. The big backyard is a garden oasis with fruit trees (lemon, apple, plum, and fig, apricot, lime, and tangerine!) and if you love gardening, there’s ample space for you to play. There’s a hammock, large table and chairs, and two loungers…you’ll never want to leave! There is no smoking allowed inside the house and no tobacco products anywhere on the property, please.

Just me and two sweet cats! I’m a queer woman (she/her), work in the performing arts, and I have owned, lived in, and loved this beautiful house for 15 years. I love music, gardening and baking treats for my roommate and friends. I am social and spend time out with friends, but also need plenty of quiet time alone. I would love to share my home with someone who would like to share a meal now and then, chat, or watch a movie, but who also has interests of their own. I believe in good, open communication, and am honest and direct. I keep a clean and tidy but not obsessive. I’m sensitive to scents so prefer naturally scented cleaning products and a roommate who doesn’t use perfumes.
