I’m seeking a kind, upbeat, and respectful human to rent a room in my clean, well-appointed East Petaluma home. This is a shared housing situation with a maximum of four people.
This room is by itself and has its own dedicated bathroom; however, it is also the household common bathroom. So, there is some privacy available with this unit. The bathroom is shown in the images.
We’re located in the Adobe neighborhood of East Petaluma near Lucchesi Park. We’re a 10-minute walk from the Petaluma Farmers’ Market, which takes place every Tuesday. We’re also a quick 5-minute drive to Trader Joe’s and Starbucks. Across the street from the home is Lynch Creek and Lynch Creek Trail.
This is a master tenant/sublet situation where the master tenant (me) is also the on-site property manager. I strive to maintain a clean and well-maintained property. Reported issues get addressed quickly. Everyone who has come by to look at the property remarks on what a well-kept and lovely home it is.
The Space: • A light-filled bedroom can fit a queen-sized bed, a dresser, a nightstand, and a closet • Semi-private bathroom • Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and multiple refrigerators • In-unit washer & dryer • Rent is $1,100/month, all utilities included (PG&E, water, garbage, recycling, and internet) and a bi-weekly cleaning service
The Vibe: The home is a smoke-free, substance-free, drama-free, moderate alcohol use environment that caters to working-class professionals who seek the benefits of “quiet enjoyment,” peace, and tranquility in their living arrangement. There are at most four (4) people living on site. The current tenant makeup is primarily in the 30- to 60-year age range, but people outside of this range are also welcome.
You Might Be a Great Fit If: You’re in your 30s to 60s, financially stable, tidy, emotionally grounded, and enjoy a harmonious home. You appreciate a bit of fun and friendliness, you’re drama-free, and you don’t smoke.

Ideal for someone who enjoys a drama-free, quiet, and relaxing home environment. You’ll share a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2.1K sqft home built in the mid-1980s with four other housemates. While the house is not contemporary, it’s also not too old. The collective here is pretty loose-knit, with working professionals. The age range is 30 to 60 mature, responsible adults. Some housemates you’ll bump into every day, and others you’ll seldom see.
