About the room
I am finding a roommate who is interested in taking over a first-floor room in a 3 bedroom, 1-bath house. The room is coming well-furnished (save for pillows, which you’ll need to bring) with a wardrobe, bed, desk, bin storage, and AC. There is in-unit, free laundry, the kitchen is fully stocked, there’s a spacious living room, and the bathroom includes an actual bathtub. There’s also a backyard area with seating and off-street parking included.
In terms of location, the house is a 2 min walk from East Side Market, 5 min from Whole Foods and CVS, and 10-15 min from Brown University. There’s also a bus stop at the intersection outside the house that will take you across Ives/Wickenden and heads downtown and another 5 min away that runs toward campus.
Rent is 733.33 per person per month plus utilities, which typically come to $80-90 during the summer months and $100-200 during the winter time.
There are two PhD students at Brown now living in the house. We live on the third floor. The landlord is also fantastic–repairs, if ever needed, are timely, and aside from that you won’t have to interact with him.
About the roomies
Me (male) and my roommate (female) are PhD students at Brown. I am from Taiwan, and have been living in this house for two and a half year, and has a really wonderful living experience. My roommate, from China, has been living here for more than 6 years. We are great friends and we welcome any person who is interested to share the joy and living space here.
