About the room

This is a lovely very private stone house with storybook gardens and interior conveniently located to the Rowayton and South Norwalk MTA stops, the Post Road and I 95. It is close to Stamford, Norwalk, St Vincent’s and Bridgeport Hospitals, along with Sacred Heart, Fairfield, Norwalk Community, Purchase, U Conn, Stamford Colleges/Universities. The home is set at the end of a private cul-de-sac with almost no traffic but for those servicing the property. The owner lives in the lower apartment while the prospective tenant would occupy the third floor consisting of private bath/tub/shower, two large bedrooms en suite with double bed in one and twins in the other. (One room can be used as living room/study/private dining area.) The shared common floor, the ground floor, is a large cherry-paneled, wood-planked family room/cook’s kitchen, living room, dining room, music room (with Steinway grand) and study., fully furnished and equipped for shared use. There are beautiful walk-out outdoor spaces overlooking well-tended gardens. All told it is a treasure!

About the roomies

I am a low-key, ‘live and let live’, ‘do unto others’ professional who lives solo in this beautiful estate-like home, happy to share it with others, as I have done in the past with this and other properties I own. I live a quiet life of work, study, quiet dinners with friends, attending concerts, opera, ballet and theater. I am very clean and well-organized. Because of the intimacy and special nature of the space, it is important we be compatible and live a similar life style. A fellow professional with similar tranquil interests and lifestyle needs would be ideal. Before a personal showing, I would like to videoconference and have a credible means of verifying ability to pay rent and compatibility. These concerns are mutually beneficial.
