My unit in a recently renovated house in North Oakland has 1 bedroom ($1200) for rent starting at any time. I’m looking for 1-2 new, communally-minded roommates to join me and my sweet dog. Lease is month-to-month. Flexible on the move-in date for the right fit.

Located at 57th & MLK (Santa Fe neighborhood), you’ll have a ~20-minute bus ride (F, 88, 12, or 18) or bike commute to UC Berkeley’s campus. It’s a quick commute to downtown Oakland, and a 15-minute walk to Temescal. The unit is on the top floor of a recently renovated fourplex with a large shared, fenced-in backyard with a secure bike shed. Street parking is available. The unit has a dishwasher and a dedicated in-unit washer/dryer (no coins!). The backyard is a glorious amenity and includes: a small grill, tables/chairs, string lights, storage, and a sun umbrella. There are also several garden beds where other tenants and I have been growing herbs, leafy greens, peppers, and pollinators.

My name is Anthony and I’ve been living here for 2 years. I am planning to live here for a few more years while I work and continue on with life. I’m a Black/mixed straight cis male who is loving very accepting of all people and respectful. I work in Sales and work from home, it is not the most rewarding work but it pays the bills while I look for something that is fulfilling. I’m in my mid-20s and I love to bake, play sports and be active, read, sew, learning how to make art, checking out exhibits & cultural events, watch my shows, share food & drinks with friends, and go for a classic Bay Area hike. This is a shared home for me and my dog Baloo/Blue (pictured) - an interesting and loveable Husky with usually low-energy who loves to be around people. He is great around other dogs but would need to meet any other animals to see if they would be a good fit, there is another dog on the property that is reactive around other dogs so we just communicate whenever the other wants to use the yard with the dog!
