I’m a mature female seeking a female or gay male roommate to share a two-bedroom rent-stabilized apartment in Adams Point in Oakland. Your room is roughly 10’ x 9.5’ with a large closet. I am fine with month to month- if you are not sure how long you’re planning on staying. Couples are welcome but the cost would go up to $1100 per month. Key features of the apartment are a spacious and sunny living room, ground floor access (there is a small flight of stairs), a covered balcony with small grill, all hardwood floors, and because it is located on a corner it is very quiet. You would have your own room (see photos) and would share a bathroom and kitchen. The apartment is fully furnished- except the room you’d moving into. I am including cable/internet and electricity in the cost. There is a foldout sofa in case you have guests. Street parking. I have two friendly cats- and 2 pets is the minimum in my building.

It is within walking distance to 19th St BART and very close to multiple bus lines including Transbay. Whole Foods is a few minutes away by foot, and very close to a shopping center with Sprouts, CVS and Grocery Outlet. It is also conveniently located close to 580, and Lake Merritt is less than a 10 minute walk.

I love art/photography, and the apartment has lots of that on the walls. I am quiet but friendly, and ideally you would be considerate and mature. I like to read, watch tv, work out (I have some free weights if you are interested). Let me know more about you. (preferably something to give me a good idea of your personality and situation). We would need to come to an agreement about how often guests sleep over. I am fine if you smoke out on the balcony, and pot is fine. Given the location and cost, this is a great deal. I’m a cat lover, and some of my hobbies are photography, reading, working out, bicycling, hiking. Some shows I like right now are Bates Motel and a couple of cooking shows. I like horror as well.
