Maya's room

I am looking for a new roommate for a 2 BR/1 BA/1 study 2nd floor apartment starting any time between July 1 and September 1 and renewing a September 1 lease through 8/31/24. There is a porch, yard, spacious living room, and the open bedroom has lots of natural light and a walk-in closet.

The rent is $1700/month plus utilities (~$100/month for gas, electric, and internet). Water is included in the rent. There is free, shared laundry in the basement. There is plenty of street parking, and we are near Lincoln Park, Inman Square, and Union Square (including the Green Line T station). The neighborhood is extremely walkable and bike-friendly.

I am 29F and work as a postdoc at MIT, and open to anyone as a roommate. Queer friendly and open to all genders. Overall quiet–friends over is great, ragers not ideal. I have a 2 year old female dog. The apartment is pet friendly, but having a dog or no pets is strongly preferred. I go hiking on the weekends, like to cook and hang out during the week, and spend most of my free time with my dog or at the gym. Looking for someone low-key, friendly, and neat. Would love for the apartment to feel like home while still respecting each other’s space.
