I’m looking for a female identifying roommate to move in on June 1st and share my spacious top unit of a house in the Santa Fe neighborhood of North Oakland, near Temescal! The house has two bedrooms, one bath, one very large living space and dining area, a shared converted office/craft room, a small mud room for shoes and jackets, and a kitchen with an island. The house is fully furnished except for your bedroom and office space (but my roommate has a desk & chair we could leave for you if desirable). It’s a peaceful and clean home with lots of natural light!

About me: My name is Chelsea and I’m a 30 year old young professional. I am a Program Manager working in social impact and have my Master’s in International Affairs. I love to cook and grill at home, dance, explore the outdoors (hiking, running, camping), go for neighborhood walks, and get together with friends. I travel internationally for work and for fun, and am very open to all. I’m usually in bed by 10:00 PM and up around 6:00-7 AM depending on the day. I primarily work remotely (in office an average of 1 day per week) and am hoping to find a roommate that goes into work about 3 days a week or so. My partner stays over a few days a week and I go to his house a few days per week.

Our neighborhood: The neighborhood is walkable and safe. Our neighbors on our street are great and our downstairs neighbors at the house are very quiet and friendly. The downstairs of the house has 2 separate units, with 1 person in each one.

Temescal’s restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are within a 12-15 minute walk (i.e. Roses Taproom and Whole Foods is a 13 min walk; Temscal’s Sunday farmers market is a 15 min walk). Transit is super close! MacArthur Bart station is just a 17-minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. There’s plenty of street parking and MLK’s freeway entrance is right around the corner, making it quicker for commuting or getting to SF, Downtown Oakland, or Lake Merritt.

Additional details about the unit: -The house shares use of a laundry room downstairs with coin-operated machines, as well as an outdoor space. -The patio has a communal full squat rack and bench with weights. The outdoor space has a few garden beds which I’ve tended to and would be happy to share. Pictures of previous years for reference. -Small storage garage where you’ll have a spot to put your bike, luggage, etc. -Although the common spaces are fully furnished, there’s space for you to add some kitchen items, board games, linens/towels in the hall closet, a small side table, and plants. It’s important to keep the house clean and there’s a weekly cleaning schedule. -We share the costs of basic household items (using venmo to split in half) such as TJs hand soap, natural cleaning products, compost bags, trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels. -No pets unfortunately. -Fragrance free household as fragrances trigger migraine headaches.

The rent is $1,274.73 per month, with gas, electricity, water, and trash included. High-speed WiFi is an additional $90 a month ($45 each).This is a month-to-month lease and I’m open to both short (i.e summer) and longer term roommates. Move-in on June 1st. The security deposit is $1,210.
