Delancey Place

Hello! I’m looking for a friendly & considerate roommate to split a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment in a cozy apartment on Delancey Place in Rittenhouse Square.

The apartment is 2 floors & is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of a historic red brick building just 2 blocks south of Rittenhouse Square itself. The kitchen and living area is located on the first floor of the apartment while the bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor. The apartment has wooden floors, high ceilings and lots of generous windows which flood the space with lots of natural light. The living space is already furnished so you don’t need to worry about bringing in any furniture yourself (that being said if you do have a piece of furniture that you want to keep as it means a lot to you we can always work something out). In addition to that, my current roommate is looking to sell her bedroom furniture before she moves out to attend law school, so that should be available as well if that is something that you are interested in.

If you don’t know Philadelphia, the location of this apartment is as good as it gets. Rittenhouse Square is arguably the best area to live in Philadelphia. It is an extremely walkable and bike-able neighborhood just South of Center Area with tons of trendy shops, cafes, restaurants, all while still having good access to public transit. So much so that you don’t need a car. The apartment is also within walking distance of Penn, Drexel & many of the hospitals in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood so if you work or go to school in any of those areas you should have a pretty comfortable commute.

Rent for the room is $1,325 a month. All additional utilities (Wifi / Electric / Water / Cable) will be split between the two of us evenly. When I moved in the landlord required the first month & last month rent at the time of move in so I will be requiring that of you too. If we both think this is a good fit the landlord will require us to complete a roommate change form, so there will be a $50 application fee for that as well.

My name is Kyle and you will be living with me, a 33 year old male software developer. I work from home and I don’t travel that often, but when I do I go for a while (I was in the Caribbean for 3+ months during winter) so I’ll be around the house most of the time, however there will definitely be periods where you will have the place to yourself. I enjoy watching soccer, hiking and going to a good brewery. If you have a pet that’s definitely a plus, as even though the landlord requires a pet deposit I do enjoy having a dog or cat around the house.
